Supporting Our People. Protecting the Land. Operating with Integrity.

Wynnstay has long been rooted in the agricultural communities it serves. As a trusted partner to British farmers, the Group recognises its responsibility to support rural economies, promote safe and sustainable practices and maintain strong standards of governance across its operations.

Our approach to responsibility focuses on three areas that reflect how the business operates every day: Our People – supporting colleagues and rural communities, Our Planet – helping farmers and the business respond to environmental challenges, Our Principles – ensuring strong governance, ethical conduct and responsible supply chains. Together, these priorities help ensure Wynnstay continues to operate as a reliable and responsible partner to customers, colleagues and stakeholders.

Supporting Our Colleagues

The strength of Wynnstay lies in the knowledge, experience and commitment of its colleagues across manufacturing, logistics, advisory services and retail operations. The business continues to invest in systems and programmes that improve communication, transparency and engagement across the organisation.

Health and Safety

Safety remains a fundamental priority across Wynnstay’s manufacturing, logistics and retail environments. The Group continues to strengthen its safety culture through enhanced governance, improved training programmes and ongoing investment in site standards. Leadership teams across the business are responsible for ensuring that safe working practices remain embedded in daily operations.

People First

Wynnstay has introduced People First, a new digital colleague platform designed to improve accessibility and visibility of key employment information. The platform provides colleagues with a central place to access information about their working life, including:

  • salary and payslips
  • holiday balances
  • work-life administration
  • company communications and updates.

By providing colleagues with clearer access to information and improving internal communication, People First supports a more connected and transparent working environment.

Inclusion and Opportunity

Wynnstay is committed to creating a workplace where colleagues feel valued and supported. During the year the Group held its first International Women’s Day event, recognising the important contributions women make across the organisation and within the wider agricultural sector. To further support transparency and equality, Wynnstay will begin publishing a standalone Gender Pay Gap report, providing greater visibility of pay equality across the organisation.

This partnership reflects the Group’s commitment to supporting colleagues and communities beyond the workplace.

Rural Communities

Wynnstay operates across rural regions of England and Wales and plays an important role in supporting agricultural communities. Through its network of manufacturing sites, advisory services and stores, the Group provides products and expertise that help farmers improve productivity and manage the challenges facing modern agriculture.

Policy and governance framework

During the year the Group undertook a comprehensive review of its internal policy framework, strengthening the structure and clarity of policies across the organisation. This work supports clearer accountability, improved compliance and greater transparency across the business.

Governance, training and re-induction

As part of Wynnstay’s transformation programme, the Group is undertaking a comprehensive colleague re-induction programme. This programme will ensure that all colleagues understand the standards expected across the organisation, including:

  • governance and compliance requirements
  • company policies and procedures
  • ethical business conduct
  • health and safety responsibilities.

The initiative forms part of the Group’s wider effort to strengthen governance and accountability across the business.

Responsible Supply Chains

Wynnstay is introducing a new Supplier Governance Framework designed to strengthen supplier oversight and responsible sourcing across the Group. The framework will introduce:

  • a Supplier Code of Conduct
  • improved supplier onboarding processes
  • enhanced monitoring of supplier standards.

As part of this work, Wynnstay is partnering with Sedex, a global platform that helps organisations monitor and manage responsible sourcing within supply chains.

Risk and compliance

The Group is currently undertaking a full review of its enterprise risk management framework. This review will strengthen how risks are identified, monitored and managed across the organisation, ensuring risk governance remains aligned with the Group’s strategic objectives and regulatory environment.
