Our Feed Division offers a full range of animal nutrition products to the agricultural market, manufacturing dairy, beef, sheep and poultry feeds from sites in Llansantffraid, Carmarthen and Holsworthy. We are looking to recruit experienced and highly motivated individuals to join our Feed Team.

Production Manager - Carmarthen

Location: Carmarthen (Carmarthenshire)

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Group Feed Production & Logistics Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Day-to-day direction of the production site and staff, including planning and scheduling the daily output of the site
  • Ensuring compliance with the various Codes of Practice in operation, e.g. UFAS
  • Enforcing the Group’s Health and Safety policy within the feed production environment and site
  • Playing an active role in the ongoing maintenance of the quality assurance programme, ensuring its full implementation and practice by the production staff
  • Ensuring site hygiene standards are improved and maintained
  • Implementing and maintaining on-going use of IAuditor for cleaning and maintenance
  • Overseeing warehouse operations and loading area on a day-to-day basis
  • Developing and managing the site pest control plan
  • Overseeing the maintenance team in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager
  • Reporting any irregularities immediately as necessary for the smooth and compliant operation of the site, production and the wider business

The Person

The successful candidate will:

  • Have proven experience working in and managing manufacturing or production environments
  • Possess strong team building, decision making and people management skills
  • Be an outstanding communicator and effective leader with the skills to motivate others
  • Be an organised and resourceful problem solver with excellent planning skills
  • Be familiar with internal and external auditing procedures
  • Be passionate about driving a positive safe, and compliant culture

Customer Service & Administration Assistant - Tamar Milling (Holsworthy, Devon)

Location: Holsworthy (Devon)

Monday-Friday (8.00am-5.00pm) plus Saturday (8.30am-10.30am) on a rota basis

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring feed production, deliveries, collections and transfers to branches are managed efficiently and accurately
  • Supporting incoming customer and staff enquiries over phone and in-person
  • Processing and recording orders in a timely, accurate manner
  • Scheduling deliveries and communicating with hauliers and suppliers
  • Providing ongoing general support to the Mill Administration and Weighbridge Operating team as required

The Person

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience within an administrative environment (desirable)
  • Have a high degree of computer literacy including Microsoft Word and Excel Packages
  • Be a strong communicator with confident telephone manner
  • Deliver high levels of customer service
  • Be flexible in taking on a wide range of tasks
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and support our business
  • Have a passion for agriculture and the farmer customer (desirable)

Mill Operative - Carmarthen (Carmarthenshire)

12 hour continental shift pattern

 

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Effectively performing routine Mill Operator tasks, including a variety of cleaning duties, to support the daily operation of the Mill
  • Working safely within a noisy and dusty environment whilst operating the plant machinery
  • Ensuring compliance with various quality procedures and regulations
  • Ensuring that all health and safety, and UFAS procedures are followed, and ensuring that any necessary changes in procedures are properly implemented

The Person

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to communicate and build relationships
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Be willing to work towards any specific training required for the role
  • Have a passion for the farming and agricultural industry
