We are pleased to announce two key appointments that further strengthen Wynnstay’s regional leadership team and support our ambition to deliver a more integrated, customer-focused business across the UK.
Samantha Holdstock joins Wynnstay as Regional Director – Southwest, bringing more than 13 years’ experience within the agricultural sector, alongside a strong commercial background developed across both agricultural and FMCG businesses.
Most recently, Samantha served as National Origination Manager at Cefetra, leading its domestic grain origination strategy and national farm buying team. Prior to this, she spent six years with Mole Valley Farmers as Head of Sales, leading agricultural sales across retail and feed operations and managing a large field-based team serving customers across the Southwest. Earlier in her career, Samantha held senior commercial roles with Countrywide Farmers, building extensive experience across the agricultural supply industry.

Alongside Samantha’s arrival, Bryn Hughes has been appointed Regional Director – Northwest Wales.
Bryn has dedicated a significant part of his career to Wynnstay and is widely recognised across the business and the wider agricultural sector for his technical expertise, customer focus and leadership. Over many years, he has played an instrumental role in developing Wynnstay’s livestock offering and building trusted relationships with customers across the UK.
In his new role, Bryn will lead Wynnstay’s Northwest Wales Agri Hub, encompassing the Rhosfawr feed operation, regional sales activities and retail locations across the region. Importantly, he will continue to provide national leadership and technical support for Wynnstay’s beef and sheep proposition, ensuring customers continue to benefit from his extensive knowledge and experience.

These appointments reflect Wynnstay’s continued investment in strengthening its commercial and operational leadership across the business. Both Samantha and Bryn will play central roles in bringing together our feed, stores, grain, fertiliser and technical services teams to deliver a more connected offering for customers.
As Wynnstay continues to progress Genesis, our focus remains on making the best use of the expertise, products and services we already have across the Group, working as one joined-up business and creating greater value for farmers and rural communities.
The Southwest and North Wales are both strategically important regions for Wynnstay, with significant opportunities for growth. Through strong local leadership, deep customer relationships and closer collaboration across the Group, both Samantha and Bryn will help drive the next phase of development in their respective regions.
Commenting on the appointments, Alk Brand, Chief Executive Officer, said:
“Both Samantha and Bryn bring a wealth of experience, strong leadership capability and a deep understanding of agriculture. Samantha joins us with an impressive track record of delivering commercial growth and developing high-performing teams, while Bryn’s appointment recognises the significant contribution he has already made to Wynnstay over many years. Together, they will play an important role in helping us strengthen customer relationships, develop our regional businesses and deliver our long-term growth ambitions.”
Please join us in welcoming Samantha to Wynnstay and congratulating Bryn on this exciting new chapter.
