Wynnstay Group is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Thomax, a global LogOpTech specialist known for its modern, cloudfirst Warehouse Management System (WMS). This collaboration marks an important milestone in Project Genesis and the wider Wynnstay Strategy Genesis programme, supporting our ambition to simplify processes, strengthen operational foundations, and build a more efficient and scalable business for the future.
As part of launching this partnership, we were delighted to welcome Thomax Founder Thomas Jackson to our operations this week. Thomas met with Dave Cole and colleagues across our logistics and warehouse teams to discuss the upcoming implementation and to see firsthand the opportunities ahead.
THOMAX.wms is an operationally led, highly configurable WMS designed to streamline warehouse activity endtoend—from goods in and replenishment to pick, pack and dispatch. Its modern, “evergreen” architecture will allow the system to adapt to the needs of each site, improving visibility, consistency and overall operational performance across the Wynnstay trading area.
Three-Phase Rollout Across Key Sites
The implementation will follow a three-phase approach, with the first phase launching across three priority sites: Llansantffraid (LSF), Carmarthen and Astley.
This phased approach reflects the Genesis principle of building structured, sustainable change, starting with a strong foundation before scaling across the wider network. Learning from these sites will inform subsequent phases and help embed a consistent, modern way of working across all distribution locations.
Leadership Reflections
Kevin O’Leary, Group Manufacturing & Logistics Director, said:
“This partnership with Thomax is a key enabler for both Project Genesis and the broader Wynnstay Strategy Genesis journey. Introducing a modern WMS gives us the tools, data and consistency needed to support growth, strengthen our supply chain, and make life simpler and more efficient for colleagues and customers alike.
I would like to thank the teams involved across the Group, whose expertise and collaboration have helped bring us to this important point. In particular, I want to recognise Dave Cole, Head of Supply Chain, for his outstanding support and leadership, his drive and commitment have been instrumental in shaping our approach and preparing us for a successful delivery of phase one.”
Anand Assi, Head of Commercial (UK & Europe) Thomax, added:
“We are delighted to be partnering with Wynnstay Group on this important transformation. THOMAX.wms has been designed to empower modern warehouse operations, and we look forward to supporting Wynnstay as they implement new ways of working across their distribution network as part of the Genesis programme.”
This partnership reinforces Wynnstay’s commitment to investing in technology, operational excellence and longterm growth, ensuring the business is well positioned for the future and aligned with the ambitions of Strategy Genesis.
